These terms govern the free SplitSmart website and Divorce Readiness Score. They do not yet govern a paid Roadmap product. Separate consumer terms must be approved and shown before any paid service is offered.
1. Operator details
Before launch, replace this paragraph with the legal name, geographical address and email address of the person or company operating SplitSmart.
Launch blocker: do not publish these terms or take payment until the operator details and paid-service terms are complete.
2. What the service does
The free readiness tool helps you identify information that may be useful to organise before seeking professional help. It is an educational and administrative preparation tool only.
3. What it does not do
SplitSmart is not a law firm, solicitor, mediator, financial adviser, tax adviser, pension adviser, counsellor or emergency service. It does not establish a solicitor-client relationship, predict a court outcome, value a claim, recommend a settlement or assess whether an arrangement is fair.
4. Your responsibilities
- Use the service only for lawful purposes.
- Do not enter another person’s confidential data into the pilot form.
- Do not rely on the score to meet a court deadline or make an urgent legal or financial decision.
- Check important information with an appropriately qualified professional.
5. Availability and changes
The service may be changed, paused or withdrawn. Pilot and planned features may not launch in their current form. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
6. Intellectual property
The SplitSmart name, design and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may print or save your own readiness result for personal use. You must not misrepresent, resell or commercially reproduce the service without permission.
7. External links
Links to government and professional resources are provided for convenience. External sites control their own content and services.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the free tool is provided for general preparation and information. You remain responsible for obtaining advice before acting on legal, financial, pension, tax or safeguarding matters.
9. Governing law
Before launch, obtain advice on the appropriate governing-law and jurisdiction wording for the operator and service model.
10. Contact
Add a monitored service email address here before launch.
